What is E-BRUNO for Faculty?

E-BRUNO for Faculty is UNOmaha's faculty web service. It uses faculty ID (typically SSN) and faculty personal identification number (PIN) to give faculty members access to print off up-to-date class rosters, grade courses, view grading dates and a host of special blackboard functions.

How is E-BRUNO for Faculty different then E-BRUNO for Students?

E-BRUNO for Faculty is a web based system that allows faculty members to grade classes and print off class lists, along with many other faculty specific functions. E-BRUNO for Students is a web based system that allows students access to their grades, schedules and registration, along with many other student enrollment services. To access E-BRUNO for Faculty, you need your faculty PIN. Student PINs will not work!

How do I log into E-BRUNO for Faculty?

To login, go to http://www.ses.unomaha.edu and click on E-BRUNO for Faculty Login. Type in your faculty ID (typically your social security number) in the first box with no dashes, then type in your 6 digit PIN in the next box. Click on the login button.

What are the hours of E-BRUNO for Faculty?

Monday through Saturday 6:00 AM to Midnight and Sunday 2:00 PM to midnight.

How many days do I have to submit my grades?

As approved by the UNO Faculty Senate, instructors have from one week before finals start until seven (7) calendar days (excluding University shutdown days) after the last day of finals to submit grades. Grades not posted between these dates will have to be submitted using a change of grade form through your college's Dean's office. For exact dates, select the E-BRUNO for Faculty menu option "View Dates for Grading."

Who has access to E-BRUNO for Faculty?

All faculty/staff listed as active employees in the Human Resource System at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and have a PIN.

My class is not showing up in E-BRUNO for Faculty...why?

If a course you are teaching is not displayed, please contact your department's faculty workload representative and have them assign your ID to the course you are teaching.

What is my Faculty/Staff ID?

Your Faculty/Staff ID is typically your Social Security Number (SSN).

What is my PIN?

Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) are provided to active faculty/staff at the University of Nebraska at Omaha for conducting business on the World Wide Web. PINs are 6 digit numbers. Click here for more information.

What if I don't know my PIN?

All faculty and staff receive their PIN through intercampus mail at the time they are hired and are listed in the UNOmaha Human Resource System. If you have misplaced or forgotten your PIN, please click here.

I'm a new instructor and I don't have a PIN because I'm not listed as active in SAP yet, what do I do?

You need to have your department enter you into the faculty workload section of the Student Information System (SIS) with the correct information, including your correct campus address. PIN letters are mailed out dailey to new faculty and staff members. If you need it sooner, you can stop by the Registrar's Office with a photo ID.

I am both a student and a faculty member at UNO. What PIN do I use to log into E-BRUNO for Faculty?

If you are both a student and a faculty member, you will have two different PINs, one for E-BRUNO for Students and one for E-BRUNO for Faculty. To log into E-BRUNO for Faculty, you need to use your faculty PIN.

I need access to this, but my department doesn't have computers, what do I do?

You can access E-BRUNO for Faculty from any computer that has a web browser and access to the Internet. This includes computers in user labs, at home or in offices.

Yes! You can access E-BRUNO for Faculty from any computer that has a web browser and access to the Internet.

What are the minimum system requirements for a computer to access E-BRUNO for Faculty?

You will need a computer with Netscape version 4.0+ or Internet Explorer version 4.0+ web browsers and a connection to the Internet. Additionally, your web browser will need to be configured to accept "cookies", as a session token is needed to maintain a logged-in state. This is necessary to ensure that you and you alone receive your confidential information. The cookie is never written to your disk and is destroyed when you log out or exit your web browser.

I don't know how to grade my course are retrieve a class list, is there a "how-to" available?

Can I access E-BRUNO for Faculty to get my class lists and grade my classes if I'm a part time instructor?

Yes. Any instructor listed as the primary instructor on file in the Student Information System (SIS) has access to their class lists and web grading of their classes. If your class isn't listed when you select class lists or web grading, make sure your department has you listed as teaching the course in SIS.

What if I can't enter my class grades, can someone else do it for me?

By default, the department chair will have access to all of their department's courses in E-BRUNO for Faculty. Additionally, department chairs can request that other staff members have similar access. This access is only to be used under special circumstances. The instructor teaching the course is ultimately responsible for entering in their own class grades.

I'm a staff member who needs access to grade classes for my department. Who do I contact?

Your department chair needs to send an e-mail to Sesweb stating who needs access and why.

How can a department tell if their instructors have submitted their grades or not?

Have instructors print off a paper copy of the grades they are submitting.

E-BRUNO for Faculty tells me that I'm not teaching any courses when I really am. Why is that?

You need to have your department update the Student Information System (SIS) to indicate that you are the instructor on file for teaching the course.

Do I have to use Blackboard in order to grade my classes via E-BRUNO for Faculty?
