Fall classes begin. Distribution of financial aid refund checks and Stafford
Loan checks begins.
September, 2007
High school seniors applying for college in 2008 should narrow choices
of colleges and start searching for outside scholarships.
Mid-November, 2007
Renewal FAFSA's will be mailed by the Department of Education to previous
FAFSA filers.
January, 2008
FAFSA worksheets are available at the Office of Financial Aid for previous
FAFSA filers.
January 1, 2008
This is the earliest date a FAFSA or Renewal FAFSA can be submitted to the
processor.
January 14, 2008
Spring semester classes begin. Distribution of financial aid refund checks
and Stafford Loan checks begins.
January 15, 2008
General Scholarship application deadline for incoming freshmen for the 2008-2009 academic year.
March 1, 2008
Complete FAFSA by this date to receive priority consideration for financial
aid for the 2008-2009 academic year. (FAFSA must be received by Federal
Student Aid Processor by March 1, 2008!)
April-June, 2008
Expect award notification if you sent your FAFSA in by the priority date.
March-August, 2008
Respond at once to any questions or requests for documentation from the
UNO Office of Financial Aid
