Tuition Assistance for Active Duty Military
NOTE: YOUR BASE OR UNIT EDUCATION OFFICE AND THE UNO STUDENT ACCOUNTS
OFFICE HANDLES TUITION ASSISTANCE. THE UNO VETERANS AFFAIRS OFFICE DOES
NOT OFFER ASSISTANCE WITH TUITION ASSISTANCE MATTERS.
Each of the Armed Services establishes tuition assistance rates. A Tuition
Assistance (TA) document from the appropriate service may be submitted for
payment of enrollment at UNO. The student is responsible for paying the
portion of the tuition not covered by the TA, and submission of the TA
document signifies that the student accepts liability for payment of the
tuition not covered. UNO processes the TA document to pay for the covered
amount. Even 100% tuition assistance might not pay all of UNO fees some
are not covered. The Veterans Office at UNO will grant you an extension to
pay your remaining tuition if you visit in person and show us your military
ID card. Phone calls, emails, and faxes will not be accepted.
