Understanding the UNO Transfer Articulation Guides

  1. Select the school you attended.
  2. Select the department code for the course concerned.
  3. Locate the desired course.
  4. Follow these guidelines when reading the information provided:
If it has been determined that the course is equivalent to one or more courses at UNO, the UNO course information will be indicated under 'UNO Course Equivalent'. If there is a limit on the number of semester hours acceptable for a particular course, it will be indicated under 'Max. Transfer Hours Allowed.' The 'Comments' column may contain additional information and specific details from UNO colleges regarding the course concerned.

Each course is reviewed by the academic colleges/programs at UNO. Courses may not be accepted by all UNO colleges/programs or apply toward individual degrees in the same manner. Therefore, there may be specific references to individual colleges and how a course is treated within that program. If there is a Comment with no specific college/program designation, the comment generally applies to all UNO colleges/programs. College/Program references are abbreviated in the following manner:
  • AG - Agricultural Science & Natural Resources
  • AR - Architecture
  • AS - Arts & Sciences
  • BA - Business Administration
  • CA - College of Public Affairs & Community Services (CPACS)
  • CF - Communication, Fine Arts and Media
  • BGS - Bachelor's of General Studies in the Division of Continuing Studies under CPACS
  • ED - Education
  • EH - Education and Human Sciences
  • EN - Engineering & Technology
  • IS - Information Science & Technology
The information provided in these guides is for general reference only. You must contact your UNO academic advisor for more details on courses and how they may or may not apply to your UNO degree.
