Personal Identification Number (PIN) Information
Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) are
provided to current students and active faculty and
staff at the University of Nebraska at Omaha for conducting business
on the World Wide Web. Current web based services requiring the use of PIN are
E-BRUNO for Students, E-BRUNO for Faculty, activation of newly created Lotus
Notes/Blackboard accounts and to reset Lotus Notes/Blackboard passwords.
PINs have become an important part of the long-range plan at UNO. It is vital that students,
faculty and staff remember their PIN information as access to current and future
web based services will require PINs.
Key things to remember about your PIN are as follows:
- Treat this number in the same manner as a banking PIN. It authorizes the holder to access information that is not considered public information by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
- Faculty and staff who are also students have two PINs, one for student access and one for faculty/staff access.
- PIN information WILL NOT be released via telephone or FAX.
- PIN information will NOT be given to anyone but the student, faculty or staff member.
- Your PIN may be changed through E-BRUNO for Students and E-BRUNO for Faculty.
- Retain your PIN even if you are not enrolled in courses. Along with your 8-digit NU ID, it allows students to access E-BRUNO for Students and make Transcript Requests.
Methods for requesting your PIN are as follows:
- PIN
via e-mail service. Current UNO students, faculty
and staff may request their PIN be sent to their University Lotus Notes e-mail
account here
using their Student ID / NU ID. Your PIN will ONLY be e-mailed
to your University Lotus Notes e-mail account.
-
If you are in the Omaha metro area,
you can obtain your PIN in person by showing

Building (EAB) 105.

to UNO Records and Registration, 6001 Dodge St., EAB 105, Omaha, NE 68182-0286
