I forgot my SIS password. How can I get it reset?

Please contact the following individual(s) to reset your SIS password. If you don't get an answer at the first number, try the next number:

I need a SIS account. Where do I go to request one?

Account request forms are on the web at http://www.ses.unomaha.edu/registrar/security.php. Click on the "Request New SIS Account" link and then the SIS Request Form. Print it on your local printer, obtain the necessary signatures and return it to the Student Enrollment Services office in EAB 105.

I now have a SIS account, but I don't know how to connect to the system.

You need special software (TN3270) in order to connect to the mainframe in Lincoln. Contact the Help Desk at 554-4357 to schedule installation of the software.

The system prompted me for a "Personnel Number". What's that?

SIS validates your employee relationship when you first sign on. Your personnel number is a numeric employee code assigned by the Human Resource Office. If you are an Office/Service employee, it is on your timesheet. If you are a Managerial/Professional employee, it is on your pay stub. If you can not locate your personnel number, please contact the Human Resource Office at 4-2321 and ask them to look it up for you.

I've had a SIS account for a while, and now when I try to log on, it tells me "Org Unit Has Changed - Employee Must Be Reauthorized". Why is this and what do I need to do?

Please contact Student Enrollment Services at 4-2439. You will need to be reauthorized to SIS. This error occurs when you switch departments, and is a lockout to ensure that transfers do not carry over account access in excess of their new job responsibilities. When a user signs on to SIS for the first time, the home department as reported in the Human Resource database is recorded. Everytime you sign on to SIS, the system checks the Human Resource database to ensure that your home department hasn't changed since that initial sign on.

NOTE: Sometimes, transfers get caught in the timelag between when they physically move to a new department and when their paperwork is updated on the Human Resource database. Often, people will sign on the first time to SIS when their home department is still set to the old department in the Human Resource database. When paperwork catches up weeks later, they are suddenly locked out of SIS. Please call Student Enrollment Services at 4-2439 if this happens to you.
